Dr. Megan Kentros

Dr. Megan S. Kentros is originally from North Alabama, where she grew up around her father's optometry practice. She graduated Cum Laude from Birmingham-Southern College with a Bachelor of Science in 2012. Dr. Kentros was president of her optometry school class and received her doctorate from UAB School of Optometry in 2016. She practiced for five years in Shelby County, providing care for patients in the Pelham and Calera Areas. Dr. Kentros practices primary care optometry on patients of all ages, and is dedicated to diagnosing and treating vision disorders, infections, injuries, and diseases of the eye.  

 

Dr. Kentros is active in several optometric organizations. She is the Immediate Past President and board member of the Birmingham Area Optometric Society, member of the Alabama Optometric Association, as well as the American Optometric Association. Dr. Kentros was appointed to the Alabama Optometric Association Board of Directors in 2022.

Dr. Kentros enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Nicholas Kentros with Pelham Dental Care, and their one year old twins: Alice and Niko. In her spare time she likes to travel and watch cooking shows. She also likes to stay involved with the community through her local rotary club.
